Shabeer Zacky


I’m a philosophy educator and curriculum designer with a focus on ethics, metaphysics, and religious thought. I teach across educational levels and am currently pursuing graduate research in Islamic ethics, with a particular interest in how tradition-informed frameworks can engage contemporary moral questions.

Melbourne Muslim Seminary (Ongoing)

Islamic Guilds & Aqsām: A long-term education and community-building initiative that explores the revival of Islamic professional ethics and guild traditions, integrating virtue ethics, maqāṣid al-sharīʿah, and contemporary vocational practice. The project develops curricula, workshops, and case studies to inspire Muslim professionals to align their work with ethical excellence and community well-being.

First Philosophy

Founded an online philosophy and humanities teaching platform designed to take students outside the traditional Arts faculty through life's big questions.

Fraser's Medical (Ongoing)

Designed and taught curriculum for students from non-humanities backgrounds seeking to deepen their understanding of the humanities and communicate that knowledge succinctly.

Sanad Foundation

Co-founded the organization and shaped its pedagogical vision, contributing to its intellectual direction and delivering lectures on themes situated at the intersection of Islam and modernity.

Conference Publications

Presented at the Symposium on Well-being organised by the Educational Research Center, Qatar University, in collaboration with the Ibn Khaldoun Center, focusing on objective and subjective dimensions to well-being in tertiary and lifelong educational contexts.
